Norbert Geštrajn: Godine koje dolaze
U romanu Godine koje dolaze, austrijski pisac Norbert Geštrajn (Norbert Gstrein) tematizuje niz društveno-političkih tema poput posljednjih predsjedničkih izbora u Americi, izbjeglištva i iseljeništva, otapanja glečera na polovima i nedostatka ekološke svijesti, odnosa industrije i nauke, medija i savremene umjetnosti, te ojsećanja opšte nesigurnosti u svijetu. Posredstvom njih, međutim, Geštrajn u maniru najboljih pripovjedača njemačke i svjetske književnosti dolazi do univerzalnih pitanja krhke ljudske egzistencije, odnosa slobode i nužnosti, međuljudskih, supružničkih i roditeljskih odnosa, a u vezi sa prolaznošću i do teme prirode i svrhe umetnosti. Naslov originala: Die kommenden Jahre, 2018/ Norbert Gstrein.

O „austrijskoj duši i bezdušnosti“ (Gstrein, 1992: 90) Geštrajn piše preplićući okvirne i umetnute priče, žustro menjajući perspektive i pripovedače, kontrastirajući prizore prirode i „civilizacije“, i demonstrirajući nemoć kodifikovanog jezika da direktno, pojmovnim imenovanjem, iskaže istinu o pojedincu i svetu." (Jelena Knežević, Polja 511, 2018) Naslov originala: Einer, 1988/ Norbert Gstrein.
